CONS OF OWNING A CAR:

An automobile’s biggest drawback is that it requires a constant supply of fossil fuel to run. This consumption releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, which is a greenhouse gas, and it causes smog and air pollution. The emissions of these gases are also harmful to human health. In addition, most cars require routine maintenance and upkeep, which can be expensive.

The automobile revolutionized many aspects of modern life. It enabled individuals to have more personal freedom, and it created new industries such as gas stations, automotive parts dealers and car dealerships. It also increased social interactions, and it brought about new laws regarding safety, traffic and highway rules and drivers’ licenses. On the negative side, it caused harm to the environment by releasing pollutants into the air and requiring that undeveloped land be cleared for highways.
